Misha’s Vineyard

CENTRAL OTAGO, NEW ZEALAND

Misha and Andy Wilkinson have a saying: “We’re on a wonderful journey in the most spectacular part of New Zealand. When we started this adventure our objective was to create something really special and our motto was, and will always be, ‘no compromise’”.

Misha’s Vineyard grew from a passion for wine and a passion for marketing. Having spent 16 years working and living in Asia, Misha and Andy achieved their dream of establishing a vineyard and wine business in 2004 when they returned home to New Zealand and found a spectacular property located on the banks of Lake Dunstan. The first 25 acres were planted in 2004. In 2005, another 30 acres were planted, with the last 10 acres planted in 2007.

Misha and Andy have gathered together an amazing team of people around them. One of the most important is Olly Masters who joined the team in 2006 as Winemaker. An internationally renowned winemaker, Olly has worked in many regions, including Martinborough, Hawkes Bay, and Burgundy. In 1994, he joined Ata Rangi as Winemaker/Viticulturist then later became a partner. With Ata Rangi he won the Champion Pinot Noir at the International Wine & Spirit Competition on three occasions.
