In 1938, Altero and Maria Franceschini, thinking about their future and that of their children, decided to start a small business linked to the world of wine. The period is that of fascism, far from the current world of communication and transport, yet in the stories of families, memories of long journeys to get to Rome or other markets echo, where Luigi (Paolo and Marco’s father) still a child, he learned a trade which soon became his and which today is that of his sons, the current directors of the company. They inherited it in 1978 giving life to Barbanera. They have clear ideas and a far-sighted gaze.
The passion is great and the tenacity is that of those who were born and raised in the company and know exactly where they want to take it.
